Received the following warning today from Laura Shoe.
"I want to give a quick but important heads up to Mac users: there are very serious incompatibilities between old versions of Lightroom - that is, Lightroom 5 and earlier - and Apple's new Sierra operating system that will be released this Tuesday, September 20. If you are running an old version of Lightroom, I strongly recommend that you not update to Sierra when it's released."
I can not confirm but wanted to share.

Well, maybe people who love to tout the supposed "superiority" of Apple's operating systems will stop complaining about the few software incompatibilities some have run into on Windows. Perhaps users of earlier versions of Lightroom should consider switching to Windows 10, since they will work just fine there.
Well, it is not limited to just Apple. I have Windows 10 and so far it has run flawlessly. Them just last night while in lightroom 5.7 smack in the middle of editing, I received a nasty message on each photo telling me that the photo is corrupted. I tried reloading just to have the same error message. So, it was off to Google. It seems that this has been an issue in the past also. However, this time there was a twist. On an Adobe blog, it was mentioned that Adobe no longer supports the Sony A77 ll because of file conversion issues. What? why now? why, in the middle of editing? Good thing I also have the cloud. This sudden change also affected my lightroom cc2015. I thought that was a bunch of bullshit. I was able to reload the catalog that I had open in that version of lightroom. Man! What a hassle! Not a Windows problem. Win 10 is still running great.

I seriously doubt that anyone will go from a Mac to Windows anything.

I go back and forth every day. I like the graphics and stability better on the Mac but I like the versatility of a Windows machine. I don't like that I have to wrap my Windows machine so tight to protect from viruses. Macs are not immune either and the problem is growing.
