As long as we're making up "statistics," here's mine: 80% of pedestrians have their nose buried in a cell phone and are oblivious to streets, cars, and drivers. A smiling car is a stupid use of technology. A better use would be to have the car make all cell phones within a 50 foot radius honk at max volume to wake up their idiot users.
When I'm walking or driving, I like to make eye contact with the driver, but that's impossible when they have tinted front windows.
