Well, now I'm even more glad I didn't jump right into Windows 10. My PC has a "commercial" Dell installed copy of Win 10, and my wife's PC has a late Win 10 Pro upgrade over Win 7 Pro from June 2016 (with a little help from Microsoft).

I have a Windows 10 upgrade over Windows 7 on my desktop and I have not had one single problem with the additional upgrades to my system since the original. I did have some driver problems with the original but those were all corrected within a couple of weeks. I also have a Win 10 load on a Vaio system and have not had any problems with it either. I use Secunia PSI to update drivers and it's free.
