Some of my favorite subjects are NATIVE WEEDS! They are available all year long and make excellent subjects...some as blooms, some as foliage, others as dried flowers.

I would like to share a few with you that appealed to me. All were shot as "close-ups".

Nice to hear from a SC neighbor...I spent a lot of my early life in NC. Goldenrod has always been an integral part of my butterfly garden...it is frequently deemed responsible for the fall allergies, but the real culprit seems to be Ragweed instead. See link below.

Some of them are bee or butterfly friendly, so not really a weed. Some like clover make great soft ground cover.

Fine Bob - been power washing the back garden patio - had to dash in and have a shower as I was covered with mud spots and wife might have thought I had German Measles lol!
