Visited Chimney Rock in North Carolina last week
and saw this neat Ford. I'm pushing 81; however,
auto this is obviously older than me. Your help will be appreciated.

Suhhh-Weet !!
Would be really cool if there were a V8 under the hood
Looks like a '31 but I'm only 73.
Could it be the Cabroilet, around 1924.
You could contact Bayou Billy Popcorn via the Internet. They could share facts about the car.
My guess is 1930-31 Model A Ford Deluxe Roadster. Made a year or two before I was born in Dearborn, MI

Check this out. Look in fr ont of the rear wheel, behind the driver's door. That's the gas tank filler. The original Ford had the gas filler in front of the windscreen, on this car it's just an ornament.

My very first glance I thought "SHAY" then looked again, it has a Ford badge. I have looked and looked. I'm sticking with SHAY about 1980. Behind the driver's door there is a gas filler cap, that the original Ford didn't have. I'm sticking with Shay, it's a hell fo a good reproduction of the 1930 Ford Model A, the wheels usually give it away. Any one support me on this? Iv'e never seen one myself, but I came home from the maternity hospital in a 1931 A Roadster, back in 1955. My dad owned it 1947 until 1964. It was owned by the man he sold it untill very recently, in Nelson NZ.

Floyd you were about 45 years old when this rolled off the assembly line, it's an Authentic Ford sold thru Ford dealers one of about 5000 made. Made by SHAY Motors.
Definitely a Shay replica of a Model A. Alawry was right on with his comment about the gas filler location and the front independent suspension was a clincher for me.

Thanks for stopping by. I agree, V8 would be great.

Later replies indicate it is a Shay reproduction made in the 80's.
