Yesterday I saw a really beautiful butterfly but got just one shot before she decided to leave. On the camera screen it looked like it would be a good shot and the butterfly was gone so there wasn't going to be a second chance. One good shot is all it takes so I was happy.......until I went to load it on the computer. Through my carelessness, the file was corrupted and the shot was lost. I was a bit dismayed to say the least. Today, at close to the same time I went out and sure enough the butterfly had returned. This time she was patient and I was able to get a couple of shots. Sometimes, things just work out!! (I believe it is a female based on the markings.)

Thank you. It has been a very hot summer and there have not been so many butterflies. Just the past day or two it seems there is a very slight cooling and I am also seeing more butterflies. I have hope for a long and glorious fall!

Thank you. With butterflies it tends to be hit or miss so I was pleased with this one.

Thank you CathyAnn. This butterfly was not as skittish as some of them so that helped a lot. Also, it was very occupied with the Jatropha blossoms.
Very nice capture, came out nice and sharp too.
