This is the type of small store tacked onto peoples houses found in the Philippines. Sari Sari translates to general store. as can be seen here a small bottle of
Coke and a single cigarette can be bought for 10 pesos around 26 US cents at today's exchange rate.
Not the greatest snap I have ever taken but our one and only Edie said she would like to see more of what such a store looks like and Billy is a sucker for pleasing the gals!
For your consideration and edification
Is the coke cold? You don't have to answer that, but thanks for the education. djt
I, like everyone else, am dumbfounded Billy.
Your images continue to provide insight into the fascinating everyday lives of people in your part of the world.
Well done!
It's different world. Thanks for taking us there.

Just stumbled across your photo; sorry I didn't see it earlier.
A beautiful photo of real life. What got me was that, even with poverty, people still cling to some beauty, as with the potted plant with that beautiful flower.
From a photographic perspective, I love the harsh light, the repetitive colors, and that you decided not to show a close-up but the surrounding environment.
Thanks for the photo!!!
