Hi Brucewells,
I rely on 3 lenses for wildlife. Sigma 150-500, Nikon 70-200, Nikon 70-300. Those lenses are snappy quick w my D7100 and my x-D7200 and their 51 point focus system. Never an issue. However, the D600's 39 point focus system is known for being slower and not effective in lower light. If Nikon nailed one thing perfect, it's their 51pt focus system in the D810, D71-200, and D750, they focus quick and in practical darkness.

Thanks for the response!!

Hi Rongnongo!
I am well-versed on how to change a lens I only put a lens on & take it off in clean environments and with the camera body facing upside down. This was not the issue and the camera was only one week old and only had three lenses put on and take them off.

I am waiting to buy a refurb at $150 like my Canon SX50..... Makes you wonder how these screw-ups occur with all the QA/QC checks... which prob include heated testing .....
