I have one from ThinkTank. It works well. Easy to slide it around to the front for lens changes. I use it when "walking around".

One BIG, BIG problem. I have some back issues and the asymmetric weight distribution becomes seriously uncomfortable on long hikes. Traditional two strap daypack foes not have this problem

I have and absolutely love my Tamrac Velocity 8 sling bag. My d7200 with my 18-200 VR ll in the center, my d7000 body one one side of the main, and my 70-300 on the other. I have external pockets made for flashes, 2xSB 700s.
At the bottom is a waist belt to keep the sling bag from coming around unexpectantly.
Get a Velocity 8, a wonderful bag. I have many others, like my Tamrac Pro 8, Tamrac 517 etc. b it my Velocity 8 is my go to.

My Lowepro sling bag has already been replaced with a newer model so I can't show you the one I have. But this one http://store.lowepro.com/sling-bags/slingshot-edge-250-aw is much like the one I have and the one I use the most. I can put one camera in it and a couple of lenses and easily change them on the fly. I can still put the bag on my back like a backpack and hike around then when needed slide it around to the front. The only problem I have is putting it on. I'm kind of a klutz when it comes to this but after a try or two I usually figure out the direction to wear it.

Tamrac Velocity 6x works for me...not your traditional sling type look, but wears like one. The nice thing is that you can easily add lens bags to it. I used it with an E-500, E620, E-5 (although it was tight, and eventually switched to an 7x), and now my EM1.

Use mine all the time. sitting on a bus or subway train is a snap, never leaves my body.

I've not tried a sling bag but I do have several other kinds of bags. I use a backpack bag most - but mostly when I travel and not so much when I shoot.

I often have a bag of equipment in the back of my car or with me on an airplane or boat; but when I shoot, the camera is on a strap and anything else I think I might need is in a pocket or in my hands. Somehow when I'm actually shooting a bag - of any sort I've tried - just gets in my way.

I have a couple of sling bags. I like them, but because of changes in my shooting, they sit on a shelf. Send me $15 for shipping and I'll throw one in a sack and send it off. Either one should me your needs.

BTW, at 80, consider a Sony a6300 for your aps-c camera. We are the same age and I finally got tired of carrying my Nikon DSLRs around. The Sony does everything my Nikons did and does some even better. After about 50+ years of mostly Nikon, you know this didn't come easily.

I purchased a Think Tank Sling for a trip last year and it was perfect. It is now my travel bag anytime I leave home with my camera. ( holds camera, 2 or 3 lens plus misc items needed ). Plus very comfortable.

I have found that I would much rather have two shoulders supporting the bag instead of one while on the trail, or anywhere else. A standard backpack bag is much easier on the shoulders and back.

My last film camera was a Nikon N-80 w/several lenses. Since, I've had two Sony super zooms & the RX10. I will sell all of those & keep the RX10 iii. Until something more appealing comes along , I'm thinking the 6300 w/ the Zeiss 16-70mm would make a good combo w/ the new RX10 iii. I think I'll stick with the Mountainsmith waist pack that I have & suppress the GAS attack.I was looking @ the Lowepro slings. What had you been using?

I have a LowePro sling bag, older model equivalent to the JETTY 7. Carry my Nikon 5100 and two lenses, a flash and my Apple iPod. Love the fact I can carry it on my chest and pull camera out quickly.

Wearing it as a backpack going on a plane works great. Hiking, I can hook the lower strap around my waist for stability. Have a WiFi card in my 5100 to download and see my pictures.

Just carried it around Russia for 11 days on a Viking Cruise, new it was $110.00, the new JETTY 7 is only $59.95. Take a look at it.
