Photos on Lexar 64GB 1066x not recognized by lightroom for import.

I have the above cf card and am using it in a Canon 5Ds-r. The first few times I imported images from it to Lightroom--no problem. Now I have just a few new images I want to import (again using a Lexar card reader) the images do not show in the import Library of LR. They do show up in the card in the camera. I have gone through the entire menu on the camera, and can find no item that seems relevant. The images are Canon's raw files. I could erase the card and try again, but the images, while not terribly important, are still ones that are not repeatable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Bypass lightroom. Transfer the files to computer THEN open with lightroom.

What was the problem Bob? You know, if LR has already imported the images once, and you have the checkbox 'do not import duplicates' checked, it will not let you view them.
