Old pictures of the Omaha stockyards

These are three more images I took nearly 20 years ago of the partially abandoned Omaha stockyards. All taken on 4x5 film. The stockyards are completely gone now. They provided some really good photo opportunities for me back then, although I was ran off the property three times.

Very nice. I particularly like the composition on the first one. The lines just seem to work.

Nice. Looks like they were old even back then. As mentioned, one is the one.

Thanks Erich. A small part of the facilities was still in use when these pics were taken, mostly for hogs. Most of it looked more like my pics.

I remember as a kid some of these old stockyards. There are a lot of things we used to see and do on ranch That now forgotten. Thanks For the Memories.

Thanks Jack. I really miss these particular stockyards also because I enjoyed photographing them so much. But after getting run off by authorities three times and seeing gang graffiti starting to show up it occurred to me that walking around in those dark areas with several thousand dollars worth of camera gear might not be the smartest thing to be doing.
