He's not that crazy. He figured out a long time ago that his stupid gullible supporters will believe any shit that comes out of his mouth. There are about a dozen members here on UHH that prove this on a daily basis.

Pierson didn't claim a literal beating by reporters. She said, “…they are tired of seeing left wing reporters literally beat Trump supporters into submission…”

As used, the word is an intensifier for beat, a figurative expression, not an actual action.

Passing on deliberately deceptive claims does no one any credit.

I don't want to sound like an apologist for this poor woman but maybe she meant figuratively instead of literally. You would think someone with her responsibilities would know the difference. At her level of trumpsplaining, communication is all about NOT being misunderstood.

How does this new headline relate to A New Level Of Crazy With Claim Of Reporters Beating Trump Supporters which was the original topic?

Yes, that’s my take of what Ms. Pierson said and meant.

Thank you for your good wishes and the best of literal luck to you in your future endeavours.

You needn’t apologise over “this poor woman”; her communication was quite clear.
I believe she knew the difference between literal and literally and I bet even Jason Easley knew it too.

Just to be clear, literally is an intensifier used before a figurative expression.
“His comments were so crushing, they literally smashed her to the floor.”
Do you think it means she was actually smashed to the floor?

Of course, this is all my opinion… unless, I misunderstood you.

Just to be clear, literally is an intensifier used before a figurative expression. There are zero documented incidents of reporters literally beating Trump supporters. Literally beating means that reporters are physically assaulting Trump supporters, which is not happening. What is happening is that Trump is provoking attacks on the media at every single one of his rallies.

That poor woman is in the business of trumpsplaining, that means not being misunderstood. She used the wrong word and the press had a picnic with it. Literally is literally misused all the time.

KKKeenan is the leader of all the bullshit that passes through the lips of the libtards who have lost their way in the moral outreach of our country.
Ranting on to hear himself without proof or defining his true feelings why he is just as much a pathological liar as Hillary. Spend you own time
searching for the 'faggot gene' instead of attacking people who believe in much higher morals and principles than you are showing.

LOL
I accept for the moment that your intent here isn’t to shine me on.

Yes, a potential meaning for “beat” is the physical striking of someone or something and there are indeed many different ways to beat people up… or down.

However, the meaning of a word is understood by application of the linguistic context of the discourse and circumstances of the situation it references. This understanding is universal to all communication and is normally reached through a judicious interpretation as influenced by the cultural mores of the society it is expressed with-in.

I point at you and raise my thumb. That could be a sign of agreement, acceptance or even a positive comment about you.
Another viewer, predisposed to find fault in me and, even knowing the surrounding circumstances and context, might willfully choose to report that I signaled you to “sit on this and rotate”.
