Green bee was dead but the flower (and Thrips) were alive. Quite a surprise! I used a Nikon D 7100 + Nikon PB-5 bellows + 50 mm f 2.8 EL Nikkor (Enlarger lens) reversed. Magnification was ~1.9:1. I stacked 63 frames in Zerene Stacker (DMap + PMax touch up)

Great stack! May I ask how you attach your d7100 to the PB-5 bellows? I and thinking of getting one but the Nikon q&a states that your can't use modern DSLR's with the PB-5.

Superb, indeed! Only exception -- not thrips, but some tiny bugs (Hemiptera). Head's not right, very characteristic for thrips; ditto abdomen. Not enough to even guess a family, but since they were interlopers anyway ...

I don't remember where I got my info that it was OK. Only glitch, you have to rotate the camera mount on the bellows to the vertical position to mount the camera, then rotate back to the horizontal position. I also used my D 7000 on it . No apparent problems.

Excellent stack!
So, is that three photo bombers? or just one in three frames? They/it doesn't seem to distract from the subject...much
