It seems that many here are still shooting -or going back- to film. I've recently got the film bug again and acquired a mint condition Nikon FE to go along with my Nikkormat FT2 and Pentax K1000. I got a few rolls of Ilford HP5 and am going to develop it myself. Now I just have to wait for the weather to clear up!

If the weather won't let me take pictures with it, I'll take pics of it!

I came close to buying a Nikon FM2 at one point. The F3 or F4 was a bit over budget for me at the time. I eventually settled for another Pentax, a K1000 to go with my (Black Body) K2 DMD. A friend has a Nikkormat FTN he no longer uses. Since Kodak discontinued Plus-X I have to use Ilford FP4 and HP5, or Tri-X. The Ilford is great stuff but I'm just not used to it and since today I shoot very little film I will never get comfortable with it in 35mm form. I still shoot B&W 4x5, so that is another story.

Oh, the Nikon Df is so cute. If it were not so expensive I'd buy one just as a conversation piece (in addition to it taking good photos).

I have a K1000 that was given to me a while back, but I haven't shot anything with it yet. I haven't shot film in years, so I figured I'd give Ilford HP5 a shot. I also recently acquired a Graflex Graphic View 4X5 camera. My goal is to start shooting with it, but i know less than nothing about large format photography, so I'm currently studying up on it.

This belonged to my father, I'm hoping to get confident enough to actually shoot with it.

Great pair! Now post one of the Nikkormat (I carried one all over SE Asia, and I loved it).

The Nikon FE is my primary go-to SLR camera. Feels perfect, which makes photography especially fun. If I had to give up all of my cameras and keep just one, the FE would probably be it.

Thanks, it's in near mint condition and everything seems to be working fine. I'll know for sure after I get this first roll shot.

I really like the way it feels also. I'm wondering if you had an MD-12 drive on yours? They're readily available at some great prices and was considering getting one.

Great pics of the cameras. I use a Yashica Mat 124g, Nikon FTN, Pentax 645nii and a Pentax K2. Love em all and there is a great deal f satisfaction in developing your own film, then scanning it and editing it in the post processor of your choice or printing it in your darkroom if you have one.
