Just got the Samyang 14mm F2.8 lens and thought I'd try some night shots even though there's heavy light pollution. I did get five meteor trails on the Milky way shot. Will try again Thurs/Fri if weather permits.

Are you going the whole Gamut... Telescope, etc.?

You just missed the Oregon Star Party. I'll post a link. It's a big campout for a week of hundreds of people at an elevation high and remote from the lights of civilization. I went out with a friend about 5 years ago. My friend was considering gearing up for this photoprapy, and felt the best place to get the info was to go to the Oregon Star Party. What an event. Here's a link.

Pretty good for the first time. The Milky Way shot is quite good.

You did a great job as a first timer. My first time last night did not fare so well, but if it is clear tonight I will give it another shot. This was out in my backyard in Meridian, ID.@10pm. Not too good, but I was happy to have gotten some sort of image.

I used a canon 24mm f2 pancake lens on a canon 70d.

I like this set of shots too very innovative.
