Poor bugger lost its left front leg, or it never grew. Shot from another angle shows a tiny button where the leg would be. A U.S. one dollar note for size reference.
Pretty crab spider. He seems to be doing alright with only 7 legs.
These are nice close-up photographs, but neither is a 1:1 magnification macro-photograph.
To capture a true macro, your 105-mm macro lens needs to be set to Manual Focus, at Minimum Focusing Distance.
Photos are appropriate for the Close-Up Photography section, not the True Macro-Photography Forum.
