Jessi's mother was at the shoot and talked about their Native American heritage. No other photographers worked up something for her mother, so I did this for her. This is from a long time ago, and at the time I thought it was a great piece.

I love the background. What is it? Mural or poster maybe?

The background is a digital image. I cut her out of the original photo and used this background image.

Nicely done. It shows your vision and creativity. How did her mother like it?

I didn't talk to her mother after the shoot so I don't know that she thought of them but I hope she liked it. What's more important to me is that I liked it.

From my perspective the detailed and colourful background is too busy and competes for my interest too much with the simplicity of the subject/model. I think I understand what you were trying to achieve, but maybe a slight defocussing/blurring of the background would shift attention to the real subject.

Thanks John Frim, I didn't think of that when I was working on this one.

Was I a little chilly when you did the shoot of her?

I believe on the temperature scale "chilly" is a bit colder than "nippy" and would have caused more goosebumps on the rest of the body.
