Anybody know anything about this software? You can find it at

http://www.picturecorrect.com/tips/intensify/

Does it really let me do anything more that Photoshop CC?

In your opinion, how does Intensify differ and distinguish itself from Lightroom (non-CC) or DxO OpticsPro Elite, just to name two of the 30 or more alternative processors?

I use and like Intensify, but it does not do anything Photoshop can't do. Like all plug ins, Intensify can make the editing process a bit faster once you learn how to use it. The macphun plugins have some advantage over other plugins in that they house layers in their own right, so you can better tailor the effect they give you and you can use a layered environment right out of LR, without going into PS unless you want to.

Try before you buy to be sure it offers you something you really want and need.

Intensify expands the functionality of LR, but would not be a reasonable replacement for it. It might be possibly an alternative to Elements, but not LR. LR is a high powered asset management program that offers good basic editing features. Intensify has no cataloguing features, but offers a layered work environment with masking. Intensify is one of several plugins offered by Macphun, and they work nicely as a suite connected to LR as a host program. The others in the suite offer black and white conversion, noise management, HDR, object removal, and custom blur. The Macphun suite can be used without a host program and I've tried it just out of curiosity. It can work that way but I am accustomed to using LR as my base program, and that works best for me. Everyone's work flow is different though.

I don't use DXO so can't address what it does.

I have heard of the product, but have no experience of it.
