Three from this morning. Great young man - and great looking, as well. Football, lacrosse, and weight filing are his thing. Here are just three from the group.

Lighting was three Einsteins - two in large gridded strip boxes to sides and a bit behind and one in a medium octa in front and high enough to be JUST out of the frame.
Except for the last one: small gridded strip off to camera left and VERY low. Rim on camera fight arm from that big strip, but dialed WAY down.

Does not show all that well here, but I spray them with a 50-50 mix of water & glycerin for fake - but long lasting - sweat.

Nice work, Cliff, and as always, thanks for sharing how you set up the lighting for these shots.

Nice shots. And very good post processing. Did you use Bleach Bypass on these as well?

Yes, just a bit on #2 to slightly desaturate his skin. Also a low opacity use of Glamor Glow on #2.

You can see the light arrangement here. The main was the 12x36 gridded strip to camera left and very low. The kicker was that large gridded strip on our right and just above him. That one was turned WAY down so just a kiss of light on his arm. The Octa way above me was off.

Wow! Nice big studio. What size is your small strip light on camera left?

High school?
Does he have a license for those "guns"?
(I think mine looked like that when I was shooting with my RB 67)
Great series, Cliff and the set-up shot helps explain a lot.
Did you use a reflector to add the eye sparkle in the first one?

Yes, I did have an assistant hold a reflector. I forgot that part.

My second thought was that light was reflecting off that handsome man's head who is on the floor.

Yeah - everytime I see a photo like that I wonder who that guy is using my camera. He is so much older!!

I have to work my buns off to get photos half as good as these and you do it lying down on the job. Nice legs, bye the way.

Hi, Cliff, nice work as usual.
