We have ALL seen it... one of the glorious experiences attached to this endeavor called "birding". A bird appears in close proximity... giving us the ordinary. Seconds later... BOOM!... the EXTRAORDINARY.

When asked: Why do we bird hither, thither, and yon? Perhaps, a good response is to kindly say, "Come along with me." An invitation given, a smile shared, and off we go in search of winged magic.

It's a good thing that wings are meant to do that, otherwise, OUCH!

Very nice.

Thank you. My truck is actually the best bird blind and I use it often. This bird was just stretching. Had I opened the door even a smidge, those wings would have been in high gear.

One of our 9 year-old grandsons (not twins) gets "snaphappy" when we go looking for birds. After sending this set his way... he quickly responded that the kingbird became a GHOSTBUSTER in the second image. Guess from now on, I will have to call him up and ask him if he wants to go find some more ghostbusters.
