Help with posts

When I try to post a photo I end up with attached fill in my post instead of my photo.

When I look at other hoggers post I see the photos with a download for the store or a photo if they did not sore original.
I follow the instructions on the page, but I must be doing something wrong, or is it just working out that way?

First check file type and then size. I forget the list as I only upload jpgs but it's a place to start.

You may be missing the UPDATE button... after adding a photo it will display with your images, BUT you need to scroll down to the bottom of the screen and select UPDATE or REMOVE...
To include the original as download, you need to also select the STORE ORIGINAL checkbox when posting the picture...

Good tip - post a JPG or PNG file....

I don't see a file type to click, just choose file , (store original, add attachment

What file are you choosing? THAT determines the file type... if you select a .NEF then you are uploading a raw file and it will not display, select a JPG and it will upload and display.

And don't forget the ever important SEND button which is located in the same general area. You'll get it.

The fills are jpeg, I have been having this problem ever sence they redid the sight

Odd, it seems to be treating the file as if it is not a format that can be displayed, but the download link shows the image.
I have only seen that when someone uploads a file that is in a format that is not a typical displayable file.
Just to test, I attached a previously uploaded JPG to this note....and a fairly large one at that, about 10 MB.
Hmm, seems to have worked fine.... was your image a JPG from the camera or exported as a JPG from software?

Don't forget the add attachment button on the right. The update button is primarily for adding text to the photo.

I have tried both from camera, and from LR, and elements 13 same thing
