The pic of bee on lavendar was taken with it on my Canon 7D hand held in natural light. Shot EXIF 7D, 70-300 IS USM @ 300mm, ISO 320 in AV, f/11, 1/80s + 2/3 EV in large jpeg and heavily cropped about 70%. No wonder that many reviews call this lens the hidden "L" lens and a great value.
