Two excellent captures Larry, enjoyed the action in #1 with the churned up water. The Heron is a beautiful youngster.

The juvie night heron is a very pretty bird. The territorial dispute is a great shot, lots of action going on.
Thanks for your nice comment Sirius_one ! - it is a popular place and sometimes tempers flare !

A pleasure for your comment Gary - thanks !
Great action captured in your first shot. The little heron in the second is beautifully sharp and clear! Excellent work.
Beautiful images, imagemeister!

Canon 50D with Sigma 100-300 f4 and Tamron SP 1.4X ..... from bodypod
So, do you use bodypod most of the time? Why do you prefer it to a monopod?

I do use the bodypod mostly now. - and even mostly without the receiver belt - which is mostly because I am not traveling far or being out for long periods and because I am only using the Sigma 100-300 and Sony A77II which is only about 5 lbs put together
Also, if I anticipate lots of action ( birds) I use the bodypod over the monopod. The monopod becomes more viable if I anticipate waiting long periods of time or traveling longer distances.
Before I was carrying 10 lbs with the Canon and 300 2.8 W/2X ......but now with only 5lbs to carry, life is better !

The bodypod is very close to performing like hand held - more so than monopod ....
