Just a Little Texas Sunrise

TheeGambler Loc: The green pastures of Northeast Texas

I just happened to be up early this morning and captured our sunrise from the back porch. Not sure what to do with it, but wondering if something could be placed in this photo to make it more interesting. Does anyone want to use this as a background, and/or add a focal point...

If I had a picture a horesman rearing a horse, this would be perfect. Or just the horse alone, pawing the sky. Got one of those? I'll composite it for you.

TheeGambler emailed me a photo of a rearing black stallion. This is what the composite looks like. I softened the striations in the sky. This POV would suggest one was sitting down at the horse's feet and shooting upward.

Variant of Just a Little Texas Sunrise.

Bob, I think this works great! And, yes, the way to get the best photos are to shoot the horse from as low a position as one can get, looking up at the animal. Aim at the shoulder to help get a photo that has the best proportions. It can be easy, at times, to get horse-parts out of proportion.

Hey, Shakey, you gave me an idea.. That Palomino looks great against the sky. Just put him on a mountain top ( or give him some wings, he does look like an angel) and presto, a totally new version.. Could do the same with the black stallion, maybe in a desert scene.. Thanks for your version..!

Bob started it, so I'll add one that should be somewhat familiar.
You need to open the download to see the colors.

Aaaah, good one SoHillGuy! He fits in very well! And, yes, that cowboy looks familiar. I must have seen him at the local Fairgrounds!

The colors are better on download. Wonder why it looks darker as a thumb..

The colors also look brighter on my monitor so I would think it has something to do with the upload. I know the lighting on the horse and rider doesn't coincide with the scene. It was just for the effect that I used it.

I have the same thing happen.. Sometimes I have to make the photos a little brighter, before I post them. Or, I have to delete and re-post. Actually, the light on the horse and rider is close...
Appreciate it,SoHillGuy!
