IMHO - if you are on someone's ignore list, it is kind of tacky to start a new thread to discuss a thread you are not wanted in. If somebody is ignoring you, the right thing to do is move on. Cry yourself to sleep if you must, but do it privately.

"Kind of tacky" is the kindest way possible to say what has happened here. I agree with your, move on and cry in private, theory.

IF these boards were moderated:
1. The OP would have been sniffed out.
2. The thread would have been deleted.
3. The originating poster would have been given a warning that starting threads with the sole purpose of harassing another member would not be tolerated.
4. If abhorrent behavior continued from the same person bans would be handed out.

EDIT: as I was typing this response this thread was moved to the attic. So a human moderator must have seen and read through some of its content. Shame on too little too late.

If this was true I have a feeling you would find it offensive. So we can now add homophobia to the other obvious failings and personality disorders you appear to suffer from. Not only is it rather stupid to have anti gay feelings in the first place it shows a degree of insensitivity beyond belief to mention them after the recent gay night club shooting in the US. Did you cheer and send text jokes to your pals after the event. I have a feeling you did.
So how can you talk of personality disorders in others sweetpea?

You sure are having a very hard time comprehending things. I called you rosebud's boyfriend because of your constant ass kissing and the way you defend him, you must have a crush on him. But why would that make me anti gay? Why don't you go back to puff more of what ever is your choice of drug. I think you are beyond help.

Do not laugh too hard Rob we have a real rough tough queer bashing bigot here. Definite Republican Trump supporter I reckon. You know the type, if they had a brain they could be dangerous.

Wrong again! I just have a soft spot for ego maniacs like your sweetheart rosebud here. Nothing less nothing more.

Now what would happen if you still had some usable brain cells? Because so far you have been wrong about me.

Did WhinyRosebud get sent to the attic?

Green is right, if you're gonna get sent to the attic, put something real out there,

something worth fighting about.

WhinyRosebud's personal jealousies hardly rise to the occasion ...

Wait, this is an ancient thread from 2013 ...

No, the thread is from yesterday. The OP joined in 2013.

I don't need to go there any more now that we have our little tdekany to amuse me.

I guess you see the other posts - not much else to say, the answers to your question have been posted, for you. Of course you are ignoring those posts. So here you are: an insecure little boy who is a liar, a no talent, arm chair expert who couldn't take a decent picture, who is an Internet bully.

This whole thread is kind of sad. It began with a post of roughly one-hundred words which I didn't quite understand the contents of, nor the reason for.

Shortly before I first encountered this thread, I saw a post containing four pictures of birds; one of the pictures, to be quite honest, was mediocre in my view {which is to say, I would have never posted it on-line}. I suppose I could have told the poster of that picture what I thought of it, but that just didn't seem necessary; either other observers would see its lacks or they wouldn't, but my comments probably wouldn't have helped any. I do happen to have a similar picture which I like much better, so if anything, I would have started my own thread with that picture, and then perhaps have put a link to the other one, and people could have seen the difference for themselves.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. The OP in this thread would have done better to post a couple thousand words of his own pictures instead of his inadequate one-hundred words; I say "inadequate", because the reaction to his first post makes it obvious I'm not the only one who didn't see the point he thought he was making.

Instead, we have a thread that wandered for a while until degenerating into an infantile mud-throwing contest, and eventually a moderator woke up and sent the whole stinking mess to the attic, so instead of being out where new people might see the OP's original post and might conceivably understand his point, its now up here hidden away from all but the most adventuresome.

Very disappointing.

Very sad.

I tend not to spend much time up here in the attic, so you don't need to expect any more comments from me, regardless of where the "trash talking" leads.

What's with this "ALL YOU PEOPLE" Crap? You've still got a friend - or two - maybe even three of us left!

Rising through the seriously contaminated muck to discover what new battle has emerged to roil
the peace that seems to usually prevail on FYC, it has led me to this mountain of garbage in which
no one has seriously considered what the Op has asked. WHAT was so seriously offensive about his
comments re. a thread started by Linda-from-Maine ? Frankly I have seen many comments by others
that were similar in that the response was such as to leave the viewer basically not thrilled with the
picture(s), or that, by word of encouragement at least, it was not the best work one was capable of.

It seems, therefore, hardly a reason for shutting out all further comments from any particular person
who was interested or kind enough to at least view and comment. Many of us "ignore" simply by not
responding to pictures offered for comments or critique. It must be recognized that not all can even
deserve admiration by many, that various levels of experience, knowledge and photographic ability
are to be seen on an open forum and anyone who posts pictures should not expect glowing praise
from everyone.

So what happened here? As I have been busy with other things for months, I admit to seeing these
pictures and had the same reaction as Rob, and, as I have so little time to devote to allow for
the forum these days, I thought what was once said was enough. Unfortunately, I often have no more
time to devote to anything that doesn't stand out from the crowd, or do not click into the forum at all
on some days. So what happened here is....

Linda has complained that she was ignored totally except once, when she posted a hardly recognized bird
on a stalk or something. She has a certain regular following who always "like" to varying degrees everything
she does. It may have come as a shock that, while she has posted nearly every day on either FYC or the Gallery,
and seems to be often the first to respond to everything else all over the whole forum, someone, the hapless
Rob, stood up to note that her pictures were not outstanding. Great case of, "Throwing out the baby with the
bath water". Fact is, Linda has not been growing as she might have had she had more honest feedback. As
Billy would so readily call anything we are likely to see on the forum to be only "snapping", this has been what
Linda has been doing, e.g. not stopping to evaluate her own progress.

This interesting, although unfortunate event, causing a new war, and this originating on FYC, brings to mind of
course other unfortunate history on the forum. It absolutely MUST be understood that in offering one's work
for critique, it is the picture that may have some flaws, not the person who pushed the shutter button, although
just how the would-be photographer takes the feedback may reveal a few flaws in their own immaturity. I hope
this will become a valuable lesson to Linda, who may begin to listen to others, as she has never been afraid to
"remake" anything that anyone else has shown!

The real problem, Jenny, is that we don't open entire threads to critique another member. It's done at that particular section. In this case, For Your Consideration. An IM could have actually been sent if really necessary.

Why can't some members see it this way? THE RIGHT WAY.

There was absolutely no reason to start a thread. Pathetic.

Thanks everyone for your contribution to me having such an entertaining couple of days.

I haven't had such fun since the last time I put up something serious.

Feel free if you've forgotten something but otherwise, 'till next time.........

Cheers and all the best, Rob.

And that shows a problem - this started off as criticism of the work of someone else - that isn't supposed to be fun nor to lead to fun.

winterose is a dick! Don't know him but he's always whining about how life is unfair... please keep him out of the attic, we have standards to keep here.
