Digital Goja
Looking at a lens on Amazon and this company, Digital Goja, is the seller. Has anyone ever done business with them? They have a good rating, but I can't believe all of the extras they are throwing in for the price.
What lens?
What extras?
What price?
Authorized importer or grey market?

Says they are authorized dealer--so back to my question, has anyone done business with them?
Only through Amazon on a cleaning kit and had no issues. I'm just reluctant when it comes to virtually unrecognized companies. Also most of the stuff these companies offer as thrown ins should be "thrown out" as they tend to be nothing but JUNK. Forgot to mention, when I emailed them a question, they had a one day response time which is more than acceptable in my opinion.
I would contact Tamron to ensure they are authorized for piece of mind. I wouldn't be happy if my warranty was nullified when I bought a new product.

I have dealt with them several times, with very good results. I was more than happy
Thanks, Boone.
Haydon, Good advice, will contact Tamron tomorrow.
Boone, thank yo
My reluctance is all the extras they are throwing in for what others are selling just the lens.
I have bought small stuff from them. It went well.
Throwing in a lot of extras that were obtained cheap for some reason is a way to get around Tamron saying you can't sell their lenses below a certain price.
My local camera shop does it all the time. When I bought my 7DII they threw in a third party battery grip, which works fine. They would have risked their authorized dealer status if they lowered the price on the camera, so I got the battery grip.
Sort of like how Kaiser Permanente got started. The gvt would not let Kaiser Steel pay higher wages to attract workers during WW II so they started their own hospital and clinic chain and workers got their health care as part of being Kaiser employees.
Digital Goja has been around for a while, now, and continues to grow. I've bought many smaller products(lens cases, camera bags, flashes, etc) from them and have never been disappointed. If you contact the company for any reason, you will deal with the president/owner. I have no qualms buying from them-just haven't made any "big ticket" purchases, only because they didn't have these items when I was looking for,and buying them.
I've ordered two or three times from Digital Goja. They have always come through, and they send a piece of paper thanking me for my order with his phone # in case I have any issues with the order.
The item you mention Jerry, is a Grey Market lens if it matters to the buyer:

Jerry, This is an international version, manual may not be included, etc. Don't think I want to go that route.
"This is an international version: An international version item is a product not originally intended for sale in the U.S. Depending on the country of origin, international versions of a product may differ from domestic versions in their default settings, packaging, AC adapters, accessories, manufacturer warranties, and other features. Thanks, Catfish, you beat me to it.

You may want to check on the lens you saw; digitalgoja, 6th ave, 42nd street photo and others sell a lot of grey market.
There probably wouldn't be a warranty for the lens locally, you would have to send it back to the seller who would then
arrange to have it fixed in whatever country it was meant for. Just something to think about.
I purchased my Sigma 150-600 lens through Digital Goja via Amazon. I also received a monopod and a "beautiful" Vivitar camera backpack with the package and free shipping. Received them fast, well packaged, and the Sigma 4 year warranty for my lens. It also came with cleaning kit and a microfiber cleaning cloth. I couldn't be happier.
