Sony a7II w/ Canon FD 100 f4 macro set at f32
Your Sony a711 has a 24.3Mp, full frame CMOS sensor. With a properly-mounted Canon 100mm macro lens, you should be able to capture razor-sharp images at appropriate aperture settings.
Unfortunately, your image suffers from "Small Aperture Diffraction", which is noticeable at f/16, and quite obvious at f/32. Your miniscule gain in DoF at f/32 is lost due to SAD. Read more here:
FAQ: Why are my Digital Images Sharper at f/8 than f/22?http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-59819-1.html
Great diagonal composition along with subtle variations of color. I agree with N-72, but at times grain and some fuzz does not distract.. where as very sharp may give a so-what plastic flower feeling... this photo is a vague dream state photo allowing us to gaze and ponder.
As Douglas refers to in his UHH reference, just check out:

Did not know about the small aperture thing, another factor might be that it is a 40 year old lens. Will play with apertures next day I have some time to shoot.
