In one of James Michener's books, I believe it was the Drifters, there is a little statement at the start of every chapter. One of them was, and is may not be an exact quote, "Hire the handicapped, it's a gas to watch them work." If you wrote something like that today you would be strung up for not being PC, times have changed.

Sorry but it had to do with not having prepared in advance for an attack. We knew the dangers since the Iran embassy takeover. There was inadequate safe space to hide in, inadequate force on site, and no plan to immediately deploy our dept of defense assets in the event of attack. And evidently no preparedness exercises. Even grammer schools know enough to have fire drills.

Assuring our embassies are safe is job 1 of the Secretary of State.

The US Dept of defence did not move. A plane sat on the ground while forces changed their clothes multiple times. Held up by the top levels in DC.

The people in DC sat in meetings debating if helpers should wear uniforms or not. We didn't even deploy US resources for the final evacuation. PC was more important.

Read 13 hours, watch the movie, and read the report. You'll be embarrassed for our nation.
