Ive only shot a few weddings , I have 2 scheduled for the spring, so I can't compete with your experience but , The bride and groom are about to cut the cake. There are 3 point and shoots, 2 tablets and 6 cell phones in my way. By the time I push through, they have cut and eaten the cake, , the staff has cut it up and are handing it out. I can understand why photographers dont want others shooting.

I have been to weddings where on the invitation it says, we have hired a photographer to capture our wedding. please leave your camera home and come have a great time.

I would never tell people no others can shoot. But I try my best to make them understand I am the photographer, not them.
