Both are superb shots in their own way, I really like the power and drama in the first. The monochrome presentations adds to that feeling.
The second one in color, conveys a pleasant and peaceful mood. Nice work on both, and seeing them together is appreciated.

Great shots.

Love Cape Perpetua Center up the hill. The interpretive center is very informative. Above that, there is a road that goes up to a great over look point. In that area during WWII the military created a lookout for the Japanese Invasion Fleet that was anticipated in that era. The lookout is very high off the water and a spectacular view. I can't recall if there was a gun emplacement there? There were other installations like this up and down the coast.

Not many know, but six Oregonians were killed during the war (70 years ago) by the Japanese balloon bombing program. The balloons floated in from the ocean over the coast range, and one came down near Bly Oregon. About 9000 were launched and near 300 came down in Oregon and the PNW.

But back to the images here. very nice and indicative of many sunsets along the Oregon Coast.
