Help with White Balance Tool in ACR

I've recently updated PS CC to v 2015.5, and something has changed.

It used to be that, when I opened a NEF file into ACR, and clicked on the White Balance eye dropper, two things would happen: 1) the cursor would appear as an eye dropper, and 2) as I moved that cursor over the image, the RGB values of each part of the image would appear under the histogram.

After upgrading, the cursor remained an arrow, and the RGB values appeared as blanks, or they appeared fixed as I moved the cursor. Later, the old behavior re-appeared. Now, I've got the new, inferior (for me) behavior.

Does anyone know what I can do to get the old behavior back and keep it?

I would suggest going to your Photoshop preferences/performance and try unchecking "Use Graphics Processor". Also, make sure that you don't have the caps lock turned on your keyboard. Exit PS and restart.

Check the caps lock first. No restart necessary for this if it's on.
