My daughter left her Nikon on the kitchen table as she drove 7 hours to my grandson's graduation. So all she had was her iphone. Now a friend has asked me to make prints of some of the pix. I'm guessing that there is a way to import them to my computer as jpeg so I can bring them up in PS and do some "cleanup" before printing them.

I would appreciate information on how to do this. I tried to find it online but didn't.

Thanks.

If your computer is a Mac, there is an app called photo sync that will wirelessly transfer photos to the Mac if they are on the same wireless network.

You can also connect the iPhone to the Mac with an USB cord:

To transfer images to your computer using a USB connection

Step 1. Connect your iOS device to your Mac using the USB to iOS cable.

Step 2. The Photos app should open automatically, but if it doesn’t open the app.

Step 3. Select the pictures you wish to import the click on “Import Selected,” or select “Import All.”

If you have a PC, there following may work depending on the Windows version you are running:

1. Connect your iPhone to the computer. If the AutoPlay window appears, click "Import Pictures and Videos using Windows".

2. Click the Import Settings link > In the resulting window, you can change the folder to which your Camera Roll's photos will be imported by clicking the Browse button next to the "Import to" field.

Transferring pictures from an iPhone to a computer is not difficult. As mentioned, it's the same process as any other storage device. If you need specifics on editing them, Adobe TV can help with that. Look for an Adobe Evangelist called White hut again, still the same workflow.

I e-mail if I only have one or two - for a bunch I attach the charger cord to a USB port - as stated earlier - it opens up just as if it is a USB drive and asks if you want to transfer photos.

If the phone has a micro SD card, just remove the card, insert it to the micro SD card adaptor (usually comes with the card), then insert it to the computer just like an ordinary SD card.

Images from my iPhone have magically appeared on my IMAC. Something to do with clouds.

You can email the photos directly from the iPhone. Open Photos, select the photos, click on the symbol that looks like a square with an arrow pointing up from the center, select email, enter the email address and send.
