Transferring Metadata from one scan to another newer one.

I have slides scanned ten years ago. I'm rescanning to save them as DNG files, and also because I've learned a bit more about scanning technique over the years. The question is - is there a way to easily transfer all the metadata recorded with the original scans to the corresponding new scans? I have a 5k i7 Mac with the latest OS and I use PSCC 2015.5. I also have LRCC but haven't used it, so I'm unfamiliar with its features. I still use Bridge.

As it stands now, it takes a while to scan slides so there is time to copy the Description, Title, etc. to each new scan while the next one is in the process of scanning, but it would be nice if there were a way to synch the old and new scans and just batch copy the Metadata.

The exiftool program will accomplish that very nicely. At it's best you would want to set up a fairly complex batch file so that each time you run it a custom sequence is executed with only a single command.

Thanks Apaflo! I'll take a look at exiftool.
