You don't say what OS you are using.
If you are using Windows, I can't help you. If you are using MAC give Affinity Photo and MacPhun Creative Kit a look.

Currently, On1 is still a bit image editor, and DXO is a raw converter. These are totally different in function and result. Raw converters, including Lightroom, do not produce "finished" images, but they are very good at producing excellent proofs. On1 is exceptional at finishing images, as would be Photoshop, Nik, Topaz, etc. These will do things down to pixel level accuracy that cannot be done with a parametric raw converter. The only software that seems to be a bit of a hybrid would be Capture One V9.2. It has the best raw converter, extremely powerful editing tools, and the output can pass for a finished image 85%o of the time. All of these applications work in both PC and Mac

This fall On1 Photo will become On1 Photo Raw. Of the programs I 'play with' for post processing I like On 1 the best. If their Raw processor promises to be as good as their other modules, I may go back to using more of my NEF files and less JPG.

OnOne is coming out with RAW support in Fall. If you buy it now the price includes both. I upgraded my OnOne and I am waiting for the Fall to arrive. Usually I use Bridge and ACR. I like OnOne I use that and PortraitPro.

They'll probably have a low upgrade price. One of those companies gives the previous version away for free as they are introducing a new version. It seems like a strange business plan, but it seems to work for them.

I have OnOne and the upgrade plus the RAW software coming out was not that low. I think One was paying, almost, full price for the RAW software. But when they hit the street I will see the difference.

In their q&a it says they have not yet determined the price to upgrade to Raw for current owners of 10.5. If you have 10, the upgrade to 10.5 is free. But, they might give you a hint since they suggest current owners call customer service.

Take a look at the Topaz suite...you can purchase the modules separately and the noise reduction module is the best I have ever used.
