Hey, wrangler. Great shots. Just curious, did you use any in camera effects on those or are they as seen?

Fred,
I like both pictures,, may be the top one best because of the clouds.
Your little Sony NEX 6 does a great job and that old lens is great also..
I have a Sony NEX 5 T and love it...
Good work...

Great shots with the Sony mirrorless and Sigma lens. I loved both, but the boxcar with graffiti was interesting. The grayish sky with clouds, power lines, and the top of 2 trees in the background was noticed in download. As one member suggested, a closer shot depicting the graffiti would have been better. Thanks for sharing. The older lenses just won't die.

mas24, thanks for the nice compliment and the constructive suggestion. Next trip to the rail yard, I plan on enacting the suggestions presented by you and two other members of the Forum...they are great suggestions and might well improve the composition of the pictures. Also, you are correct, older lenses just won't die and they add to the fun. Please have a great 4th of July. Tejaswrangler

londonfire, no, I did not use any in camera effects, but only edited the pictures using my Corel PaintShop software. Thanks for viewing the pictures and taking the time to post a reply. Tejaswrangler

Two of several pictures taken at the rail yard in Kirby, Texas while testing a vintage Sigma 28-85mm F3.5 lens mounted on my Sony NEX-6 camera at the following settings: F8, 1/640 sec., ISO 200, Daylight, manual focus, Manual Mode. I enjoyed using this lens and consider it to be a keeper. Tejaswrangler :)

Hello merrytexan, I also love seeing the Union Pacific locomotives that have our flag painted on them. It is especially special when you see them on the 4th of July. Thanks for letting me know that you liked the picture. Please have a great day. Tejaswrangler
