Tomorrow, July 1, 2016, the provisions of Senate Bill 1389, Idaho’s “permitless/constitutional” carry bill, will take effect. In an effort to provide our members with information on the new law, your NRA-ILA has created this Frequently Asked Questions sheet for reference.
Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter (R) signed SB 1389 on March 25, 2016. Tomorrow, Idaho will become the ninth state to recognize a law-abiding adult’s ability to possess a concealed handgun for self-defense without government-mandated permitting and fees.
SB 1389 recognizes a law-abiding adult’s unconditional Right to Keep and Bear Arms for self-defense in the manner he or she chooses. Self-defense situations are difficult, if not impossible, to anticipate. Accordingly, a law-abiding adult’s right to defend themselves in such situations should not be conditioned by government-mandated time delays and taxes.
Your NRA-ILA would like to thank Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter, Lt. Governor Brad Little, state Senator Curt McKenzie, Majority Leader Mike Moyle, state Representative Tom Loertscher and state Representative Judy Boyle for their efforts and advocacy in the Idaho State Capitol supporting your Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
Your NRA-ILA would also like to thank the Idaho Fraternal Order of Police and the Idaho Sheriffs Association for supporting Senate Bill 1389 throughout the legislative process.

Another good reason to move to Idaho.
Sanity.
I bet there aren't many goat rapers up there.
When traveling West on I-90 last May-June, we really liked the peaceful tranquility of Ideeho.
For sure. Having everyone carry concealed weapons? What could possibly go wrong?

Well, one thing for sure Frankinberry, your relatives will be looking for easier pickings where their criminal activities won't get them shot.

Not "everyone" wants to Frank. Why would any thing more go wrong than it ever has or is in 9 other states. BTW, they are not "having" they are allowing. We believe in freedom and liberty here. We don't even regulate large soft drinks! Fool!

Looks like Frank the Skank is a little perturbed by Idaho's new law? (Now if we could only get a new law, "outlawing" idiots, imbeciles, and retarded liberals?)

If the weapons are concealed the good guys won't cause such a stir.

Why don't you head on up there, try molesting some young boy or girl and find out? Keep us informed on you findings.
