Sparks Lake is on the cascade Lakes Highway near Bend Oregon. The Lake has outstanding views of The South Sister, Mount Bachelor and Broken Top. the photos were all taken near dawn on one of the last days it froze this spring.

Beautiful!! I love the reflection of the mountain in the lake. And love seeing the light of the early sunrise on the mountain side in#1 & #2

When we lived in Madras we found a spot, in town, where most Oregon peaks
and some Washington peaks were visible.

I shoot raw, so there is always at least some processing. I just got my Nikon D5 less than a week prior to taking these photos. To see the capability of the camera I shot in raw + jpeg mode so that I could see the comparison. I had the camera set on auto white balance and neutral. When I opened the raw files I bumped the clarity up to +15 the vibrance up to +10 and the saturation up to +5/ That is approximately the same as if the camera was set on vibrant. I don't think that I changed anything else other than tweaking the exposure setting slightly.
