We have turned toward our home in Columbus, Nebraska, from our travels in Florida.
These are from March 01, Day 9 of our trip, when we traveled from Pascagoula, Mississippi to Mena, Arkansas.

2) The MGM Lion. Sign says, “Please do not sit or climb on the lion.” Sigggghhhh... such killjoys and party poopers!

3) Sometimes, you just *can’t* crop it any more, or you lose too much. So you decide, ‘Well, photos are memories, after all.’ With this one, I will remember that I shot it out Larry’s window! :-D

4) Samson impersonator, maybe, going away with the gates of Gaza? There was no visible construction nearby. Maybe he was just going home from Home Depot.

5) IP Casino Resort Spa & Costa Cucina Italian Restaurant. (The 'Costa' is doubtless the key word in the previous sentence.) Just look at that enormous parking garage.

6) I wonder what’s at the end of Lickskillet Road?

7) Okay, I realize this isn’t such a great picture. Bridges are often rough; ergo, drive-by river shots are often blurry. But you just have to hear the name: Tchoutacabouffa River. :-D

Great shots ... brings back some good memories. During my 22+ year USAF career I was at Keesler AFB in Biloxi for training on multiple occasions and when I was selected for commissioning (spent 7+ years enlisted) the USAF sent me to school at William Carey College (now University) in Hattiesburg, MS. Always liked Mississippi despite the bugs and humidity ... people were so darned nice and polite.
Thanks for sharing!

I got a kick out of Lickskillet rd. and "Samson". We have a Nobottom Road in a nearby suburb.

Thanks, Tom. We picked a good time to go south -- February -- when there were very few bugs, and the weather was generally quite nice. And we, too, met a lot of friendly people. :-)

That's funny, Karin. I've always taken an interest in unique names of towns, streets, places. In Porters Lake, Nova Scotia, there are "This Street", "That Street", and "The Other Street". hee hee
I'm enjoying sharing your travels with you, Sarah!

I'm glad you're enjoying it, Sue! That's what's fun about this website, isn't it?---the sharing of things we see and places we go. I see photos of things I'd never get to see otherwise. :-)
