Downright charming!

I'd personally like it better if the bride and groom were a little brighter. That's a matter of personal taste, not right or wrong. I do just love the wonderful textures that can be seen in white clothing, and wedding gowns have to be the epitome of exactly what I like. But the groom, to my way of thinking, would be nicer if a little brighter too. I wouldn't want the background, particularly the grass, to be brighter. Just the two people. Incidentally, framing with that arch, and then composing with the parallel lines of the "rim lighting", is very nicely done composition.

Downright charming! br br I'd personally like it ... (show quote)

I agree with Apaflo, a little fill-flash would have been nice here (you still would have the rim light).I also think that including the arch did not really help the picture. The arch is nice, but in this situation (and light), it distracts from the subjects.

Agree with previous but also feel the back light is placed too far right as the rim lighting is creeping around the grooms face into what should be shadow areas. However, a fill light may have softened that effect.

Beautiful, Maggie! Perhaps the light on the groom's face could be eliminated.
