Here we go....another week....another challenge. Are there some summer night events you have or will be attending, maybe you are just out for a stroll and enjoying the night, or maybe you are working on some night photography. All make for exceptional photography. I have not been out much but have managed to capture some late evening shots and did work on star trails one night.
If you are unsure of settings for 'Low Light or Night' photography; googling brought up many articles and a quick search on the subject might be helpful for you.
Looking forward to viewing your images......and have fun with this subject and challenge.
After there had been a rain storm I caught a glance at the sky and ran out with camera in hand. Hand held shot .... ISO 800 f5 1/160

Star trails from the side of our house. Never thought of the pattern of the trails until I reviewed both images.

Hi, Irene. Thanks for hosting - again so soon. These are just really simple but took them tonight.
When you can't see the table.....hmmm
Painted my petunias with some light
Guess the flashlight made them mutate or something!

Thanks Pat. Simple is good....table looks familiar....have surface, keep it covered....lol. I have not tried light painting and may try it out one day but love how the light mutated the petunias!

Like #1 Irene, think time will not be on my side this week but will look in from time to time

Are you still up or just waking up??? When do you sleep, man?! (Guess I should ask myself that question too...)
I am just learning to do night shots!

littlebiddle, beautiful scene shots......your learning has paid off. I hope to make it out of my back yard for more interesting shots.

Busy can be good...and sometimes not so good....but always good to take time out for a coffee and a look at UHH. Have a good week Simon.
I have a good friend that is taking the time to keep me on the right track!

Just couldn't sleep last night, not a good start to the week
About the time the sun was to set and before rain came in....a look at the sky. Severe storms came through yesterday across the state but not much in our area.
