Challenge: Smart phone, iPads, Tablets, Point & Shoots, etc. 06/18/16
Another Saturday, another day to post your images using a device other than your SLR. We have seen some creative posts the past couple of Saturdays and maybe your creative juices have been working. Or post your images using one of the above devices.
I went back to my first digital camera this week, a Canon PowerShot SD450 Digital ELPH, and when I downloaded my new images I also found I had images from the past on the card. I will open with three images that were on the card and shot in 2012 and three images that I shot this past week. I have done minimal pp on them.
Have fun!
Irene I am liking your start. I am afraid that I have not done much shooting this past week. I do have some that I took with I pad today.
Twila and kids ready to go on a cruise.
We went and saw the house that Ryan bought.
As we were leaving Ryan's we came across some sand cranes

I'm glad you posted this. A few years ago we were visiting my in-laws in Fla. and saw some big birds in their campground. We asked what they were and my in-laws had no idea what they were so we called them "Goonie" birds. Now after all these years I know that they're Sand Cranes.

That's pretty cool, Irene, to find those 4 year old pix on the p and S.! Thanks for hosting.
Here's one for tonight. Went on a road trip with friends today to a huge store.I was fascinated by some of the lighting fixtures and shade. They made interesting abstracts..This one was about 2-3 feet in diameter and was a sphere. At the end of each wire/filament was a flower - made our of paper. It was very unusual and you can only catch a bit of an idea from the picture. (iPhone 6S)

Pretty sure you both mean "sandhill cranes"

These are all charming, Irene, but the first image is an absolute stunner by any standards! I'm sure the camera manufacturer would have no qualms about posting that as a sample of that camera's capabilities. Please pardon my ignorance, but what is the difference between a point-and-shoot and an SLR?
If I understand this Challenge correctly, Irene, we are submitting images created with devices that seem to slowly be replacing the Single Lens Reflex cameras favored by most of today's photographers. I seriously doubt that my desktop scanner will ever rival the Smart Phone, iPads, Tablets, and Point-and-Shoots, but it certainly produces digital images without a lens!
