I traded in at B&H an Olympus OMD EM10 II on May 29th for $250.00. I wasn't happy with the amount but I'd traveled a distance so I accepted. I used the trade-in amount that day for a new Panasonic GX85. Then a week or so later I had a bad case of seller's remorse so I called B&H and asked to cancel the trade and for them to return the Olympus. The representative said that was OK but I'd have to pay sales tax on the $250. He seemed to know all about the transaction just from my phone number. He said the policy was to freeze trade-ins for a week or so and told me to call on June 14th after a Jewish holiday. Idid call and this rep said the camera was still on hold although it was supposed to come off that on the 13th. He said he would call me back. Didn't happen. I called again, wrote 2 e-mails that got automated response but no action. I called again this past Tuesday and got a name this time, Eddie, who was very helpful, assuring me that the camera was still in the warehouse and I had no worries that it would be returned to me. Still no action.
I recall that there used to be a B&H person who monitored this discussion, Hershel? If he's still around I could sure use his help.
Go to the User List at the top of this page. Enter the name "Hershel". Select him from the Search Results - takes you to his UHH Profile and from there you can send him a Private Message (PM). He is a very nice guy.
Buyers/sellers remorse often happens. I'm sure Hershel will see your post and assist you. He and Helen at Adorama do monitor the site.

This sounds more like a jimkh problem with trade-in reversal! I'm sure all will end well.
Thank you. I've done what you suggested and I'm waiting for a reply.
The OMD-EM10 MKII is still very new I wonder why you get tired of it already.
Bye the way the OP said it's B&H and I think it's Henry Posner
I didn't get tired of it I just wasn't using it and I thought I ought to cut down my camera supply (I'm a serious GAS victim) and I was intrigued by the Panasonic GX85 (which I do like, I might add) but upon reflection it seemed wrong to give up such a good camera for so little thus my attempts to reverse and retain the Olympus (as well as the Panasonic of course.)
I hve been in touch with Henry Posner and he's referred my situation to the Used Dept. Head. We'll see.
Hershel took care of my problem.

Very unusual for B&H. I have always found their Customer service to be first rate and very fast. I have been buying camera equipment from them for 40 years!
Yes, I was certainly surprised, too. There has to be some glitch somewhere for them to be so silent about so many prods. Hopefully, it will get settled on Monday due to Hershel and Posner actions.

I'm sure you would have got more than $250 for it, if you put up for sale here on UHH.
will
