Love the pics. The '56 Olds, the '56 Pontiac, and the '58 Chev are pretty much stock, rather than custom. The wheel covers on the Pontiac might be aftermarket, though.

Real nice work mrosenke. I have never done cars before, going to 3 Car Shows this year. Two of them for myself and one I am doing volunteer photography for City of Shawnee Kansas which is one of 6 events I will be doing for them this year. What camera and lens combos did you use? Thanks

Tom

tshift:

I like to use a medium zoom "18-105" which gives you more flexibility than a fixed lens. There is no magic in shooting cars. Just don't stand at 90 degrees to the car, so you don't take pictures of yourself in the reflection. It will also cut down on the glare, since you will most likely be outside. I also like to get my exposure set then drop it down an F stop or 2
so you give yourself more to choose from (Bracketing works about the same). Have fun, take a bunch of pictures, and get your knees dirty.

Thanks for the beauty car shots. Car show are difficult to shoot. Often too many people and cars too close together. I love 'em anyway. :-)

Oh, SWEET memories. The two ton Chevies and Pontiacs were not much good for hot rod conversions but they had a lot of interior real estate. Sweet memories of Pam, Judy, Carolyn, Margie, Cindy, .....
