The young Osprey are learning to fly. Not long before their parents work is done and they will be on their own. This is the third year I have been privileged to watch this pair of Osprey's raise their young. In the first picture it is very obvious who is the adult. The babies feathers have white around them and have red eyes. The adults have yellow eyes and no white around the feathers.

Thank you Linda for the very nice comments! It is such a privilege to get to see them grow. I wish there were eagles that I could photograph but I have to be happy with the wonderful photos you post of yours. I had a wonderful opportunity to photograph a eagles nest but the eggs did not hatch. A ranger asked me if I would photograph the nest but no babies.😢😢😢. Alan and I did get to go in restricted areas. We have already been asked to try next year. Terri

Thank you very much! Osprey are also one of my favorite birds. I have watched this nest for 3 years. Tue first year they had 3 babies, second 2 babies and this year 3. By the end of the season I "feel" I know all the babies personalities. They are a joy to watch. Terri
