Tomorrow I am going to pick up my new lens.

It is a 150-600 Tamron Lens with a Canon Mount to be used with a Canon Rebel SL1.

I already have the 18-270 Tamron Lens and love it.

If anybody uses the 150-600 lens please tell me what you think of it. I have seen good reviews on it.

Can't wait to use it.

I love mine. Focuses fast and accurately. What more could I ask for?

I shouldn't have looked! Add this to my wish list ... Would this work for a crop-sensor camera
such as a Canon 7D? The thought of a 600 mm lens on a crop camera makes me drool.

I thought the SL 1 was a crop camera.

You're right, I should have looked more closely. All Canon Rebels are crop-cameras. Please
post your impressions about working with this lens on a crop-sensor camera.

I just bought one 2 days ago and have it mounted on a Canon T6s. I love it. Never have used a tripod with it yet and the hand held photos are unbelievable. You can see my results over in the 'close up' forum.

I've had that lens for about a year and a half, I just love it. Use it to take pics.of humming birds, and little racoons in my back yard. I was told to keep the v.c.off when using a tripod. It is a bit heavy to carry for any length of time though. I use it on a Cannon t5. Have fun with it.

The Canon SL1 is smaller and lighter than the T5i. Tripod use for certain? Enjoy your new toy.

We have 6 or more members of or club (including me) that have them on Canon and Nikon's and all love them. I use a Tamron 28 to 300mm as my carry around lens.

I have one ...use it on a d7100 (crop sensor) and love it...its a good lens for the money...I use a pistol grip because it can get a little heavy on a long day...
