Herons enjoying a crisp frosty morning

We spotted these two herons yesterday morning. Not sure, but there seemed to be a bit of courting going on :-) Whatever, they were lovely to watch and very soon they were joined by a cormorant.

The complete scene - the herons and the shag enjoying the sun on a cold crispy morning on the Whangarei Harbour. The bascule bridge is just on its way down after allowing a yacht to pass through.
