Holy crap it is tough to get these jitterbugs in flight. Lucky for the sunny day to get the fast shutter. Nikon D700, Nikon 80-200mm, f/8, ISO 200, shutter speed 2000 and 3000.

Hi, Firstly, thanks for your responses. I do not consider these all that good and the posted photos were about 20% of total shots. The other 80% was no where close to focused. Yes they are tough subjects and practice, practice, and practice is what I will be doing.

Great set of images. We have three pair nesting in boxes in our yard. It is really challenging to get good in-flight images.
