I had scanned a 'Blad transparency...Made a digital print in PS...and saved the file/image to a memory stick. On re-opening the following day, the image was found/listed as a Border file. I could not see/or open the file in PS. Never had this happen before. Will have to go back to square one and re-scan the Tranny. Unless you know a way of opening a Border File.

I have little, or no, idea about what you are trying to describe. One suggestion would be to google border file several articles were listed there when I did.

Additionally, I realize that trannies are hot items in the news these day with what bathroom to use, etc. I'm sure your work will elicit similar support/opposition here on UHH.

Did you use a "border" (frame) for the image? It might be referring to that.

Googling "Border file" I came up with vector art for borders in vector ai, eps, cdr, svg formats. Seems like something Ps could open. I don't understand your " 'Blad transparency...' ". From the other person's comment I be careful viruses and the like if a WEB file. "re-scan tranny" if that means what I think, how did you get anything other than a TIFF or JPG file? Scanning with what software?

Googling "Blad Transparency" yielded something about translating Norwegian and Swedish financial records. "Blad" typo for "Bad"? Bad thumb drive?

'Blad Transparency = A transparency 6cm x 6cm from a Hasselblad camera. Scanned with a Canon flat-bed scanner, into Photoshop cc2014. I placed a 6px single black border line around the screen image, prior to printing. I have done this type of border round dozens / hundreds of images before, but never experienced the saved file being referred to as a ...BORDER FILE. The file is 106 mb

I also Googled Border File ...and found several download programmes to use pre-made fancy borders for free/ sale. The border I used was just in Photoshop ...rectangle put around the image... select 6px black colour...deselect... and a free black border remains (all for free).
I don't know what your reference is meant regarding Trannies ( Transparency frame of colour positive film) "hot news items" and "bathrooms".

Pablo,
Ah, a bit of the problem with both our countries "being separated by a common language" (Mark Twain). We don't share the exact same slang references. Personally, I'd have guessed Hasselblad from blad. The lower case b threw me a bit.

Trannies, or tranny, on this side of the pond refers to a person of male sex at birth dressing or acting like a female, sometime after.

If I'd have had a bit more than a few sips of coffee when I read this this morning, I'd have probably figured out what all was going on in your post. Other than my suggestion of checking with google, I'm sorry to not be able to offer more assistance.
Cheers,
Bob

Thanks for the differing 'Slang - Terms' explanations of our two countries . I have noticed over the years, that USA references to Hasselblad cameras as 'Hassys' whereas we in the UK call them 'Blads'. I didn't know the implication I had stirred with our (UK) term 'Trannies' for Transparency (slide-film). Must be my innocent mind (?). Still haven't found a way of opening the file.

I was making a sign for a guy one time, he was opening a little transmission shop. He wanted a transmission aka:tranny, on his sign, and I made the mistake of going to google images, and just put in 'tranny'. I don't recommend doing that. Of course this has nothing to do with opening your file, good luck. I think re-scan/save, would be easiest way to go.

You made the file with PhotoShop and now PhotoShop won't open it? Seems to me you need to start over and scan the slide again.

That's my WAG!

Pablo, what is the file name, the complete file name? I'm most particularly interested in the extension part after the dot. That will tell us a lot about what kind of file it is, as opposed to what Windoze thinks it is.

Addendum: Oh, it looks like Paul is already on this path.

Billy, as I well know. Oh, seeing as how you are from England, you'll understand when I inform you that I know not to pat a bird, I don't know, on her fanny. That is very bad to do across the pond.
