Trouble with LR raw file recognition taken with OLY Pen F

I recently bought a new Olympus Pen F and find that LR will not recognize raw files from files taken with that camera. I subscribe to the Adobe Cloud program (monthly subscription so have uptodated Photoshop and LR programs).I was told by OLY that I needed to update my Adobe Raw software -- which I did to version 9.5.1-- but the problem still exists although the raw files are recognized in Photoshop. Adobe shows that the camera is supported by their software in the versions I have. I have other OLY micro 4/3 cameras that do not have that problem.Clues?

The camera is too new. Takes a month or two before LR is updated. R
Every new camera has the same issue - just use the Olympus program for now for down loading your raw files and export the tiff to LR/PS. Great camera you have there.

Oops - sorry. I re read your post. So Adobe already recognizes the pen F? If hat is the case, you should have no issues. Can't help you. Sorry.

If all else fails, try converting RAW to DNG.

Double check that you're running Lr v6.5. You may be using an older version.

I found the answer today. For the OLY Pen F, Camera Raw version 9.5 is needed to open raw files. On an Adobe website, I found today, that there are some issues with Mac OS systems and that Adobe is working to resolve these before releasing version 9.5 to LR although it is available for PhotoshopCC (which does read the Pen F raw files). What a bummer considering that the Pen F has been out there for quite some time. So you Pen F owners/buyers beware and be patient. The next question is how to most conveniently transfer opened raw files from Photoshop to LR because LR does have some very efficient post processing that is laborious to do in Photoshop.

By all means. That plays directly into Adobe's desire to get everybody to recognize their lesser proprietary RAW format as a "leading" product.

Certainly makes one wonder why Adobe takes so freaking long to get new camera's into the Adobe RAW Camera list.???

Good advice!

Regardless of the problem...I'm jealous. The more I look at the pen-F...the more I want one to replace my epm2.

It takes a long time because the manufacturers typically don't provide any support so Adobe has to reverse engineer the raw files. Nikon decided to throw Adobe a bone and provided assistance for the D5 and D500 so they would be recognized upon release.
