Hi; With a camera these days, as well as a smartphone, it'™s easy to simply snap pics. But, I've found it challenging to shoot really great images. I recently purchased an entry level Nikon DSLR. I completed a short course in beginning digital photography. Now I feel I know just enough of the basics to get out of the "Automatic" mode and use manual settings! I would like to improve my skills and do more than just point-and-shoot. I would also like to learn about post-processing. Right now, I edit in Picasa 3 (which was retired by Google, but I still use the desktop application). I was introduced to Ugly Hedgehog® by a friend. He suggested participating in discussions, as well as posting pictures in the forum. I hope to receive feedback and constructive criticism. Here's a few photos I took over the weekend. I was camping near a Bluegrass music festival in Mendeltna, Alaska. Thanks for looking!

Welcome to the HOG, Oh Wow Man. Learn to see your camera data on your computer to check good and bad. Many use Photoshop and I use the Elements version which is $69 to $99. If you truly want to learn, post and click on "store original" and ask for advise. You will get specific help. Good luck. David PS LIke the log cabin on the river best.
